IGF::OT::IGF PROVIDE GROUND AND RANGE SAFETY CONSULTING WITH NASA/WSTF AND FACILITATE THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PUBLIC PRIVATE COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (R&D) REGARDING COMPOSITE STANDARDS. DEVELOPMENT OF A COLLABORATIVE R&D EFFORT REQUIRES EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN SUCH THAT ACTIVITIES ARE FACILITATED SO THAT TEST AND ANALYSIS PROVIDES ANSWERS TO LONG-STANDING AND COMPLEX FUNDAMENTAL KNOWLEDGE GAPS IN FIBER REINFORCED COMPOSITE (FRC) TECHNOLOGY. 15 YEARS DEGREED ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE MINIMUM IS REQUIRED IN THE AIR FORCE RANGE SAFETY ORGANIZATION TO PROVIDE A HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE AND TECHNICAL EXPERTISE ON SAFETY AND MISSION ASSURANCE ISSUES RELATED TO COMPOSITE PRESSURE VESSELS AND STRUCTURES. THE DOCUMENTS SHALL BE PREPARED AND PROVIDED TO NASA IN ELECTRONIC FORM. CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE EXPERT GUIDANCE, EXPERT OPINION AND DOCUMENTATION. WSTF WILL PROVIDE PROJECT GUIDANCE, INFORMATION EXCHANGE, AND ADDITIONAL SCOPE DETAIL BY E-MAIL. PERFORMANCE FAULT FREE ANALYSIS, DESIGN OF EXPERIMENT, TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND REVIEW OF A NASA/WSTF TYPE 4 COMPOSITE PRESSURE VESSEL DESTRUCTIVE EVALUATION TEST PLAN. THE CONTRACTOR WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING: CONSTRUCT FAULT TREE FOR TYPE 4 CPV S, DESIGN OF EXPERIMENTS (DOE) IDENTIFYING SCIENTIFIC AND COST EFFECTIVE TEST EVALUATION APPROACHES FOR FAULT TREE BRANCH CLOSURE. THE SCOPE OF THIS TASK IS LIMITED TO DOE WORK PERFORMED TO DETERMINE IF THE BRANCHES OF THE FAULT TREE ARE RESULT IN A CREDIBLE CAUSE OF FAILURE. PROVIDE EXPERIMENTAL METHODS, TEST PROCEDURES AND ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES TO CLOSE FAULT TREE BRANCHES IDENTIFIED IN THE DOE.
