In order by amount of set aside monies.

  • $19,939 - Friday the 20th of November 2015
    National Aeronautics And Space Administration
    NASA SHARED SERVICES CENTER
THE PURPOSE OF THIS RESEARCH IS TO DEVELOP A TESTING APPROACH THAT DRAMATICALLY REDUCES TESTING TIME THROUGH PARALLELIZED AUTOMATED TESTING OF LARGE SOFTWARE SYSTEMS THAT ARE IMPLEMENTED IN MANY DIFFERENT PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES. WE WILL STUDY THE USE OF A PROCESS AND INFRASTRUCTURE FOR DISTRIBUTED PARALLELIZED TESTING CALLED SKOLL, WHICH ALLOWS A LARGE NUMBER OF TESTING TASKS TO BE DIVIDED UP INTO SMALLER ONES THAT ARE EXECUTED IN PARALLEL. THIS RESEARCH WILL RESULT IN A FRAMEWORK FOR PARALLELIZED AUTOMATED TESTING USING CLOUD COMPUTING TECHNOLOGY AND A STEPWISE TESTING APPROACH FOR AUTOMATED TESTING OF SOFTWARE SYSTEMS BASED ON MODELS THAT ARE SEMIAGNOSTIC TO PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE AND SEMI-AUTOMATICALLY LEARNED FROM EXISTING RUN-TIME DATA.
