SINCE THEN WITH THE ESTIMATING AND PROPOSED BID BUY OUTS BEING CREATED BY WHITING TURNER IT HAS BECOME OBVIOUS THAT WHILE BOTH THE MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL TRADES ARE THE LARGEST INDIVIDUAL TRADES IN TERMS OF DOLLAR VOLUME; THE MECHANICAL TRADE BUDGET FOR MAJOR MECHANICAL ITEMS WHICH IS ANTICIPATED TO BE ROUGHLY $40 MILLION; NOT INCLUDING THE SHEET METAL OR THE BUILDING AUTOMATION CONTROLS SYSTEMS THAT ARE WORTH IN THE RANGE OF $6 MILLION MORE; WHILE THE MAJOR ELECTRICAL TRADE CONTRACT IS IN THE RANGE OF CLOSE TO $15 MILLION.BASED ON THIS THE OWNER FEELS THAT THE CQM MECHANICAL INSPECTOR?S HOURS MUST BE INCREASED TO MORE REALISTICALLY REFLECT WHAT THE MECHANICAL INSPECTION WORK LOAD WILL BE; TO ONE FULL TIME PERSON.
