THE DENVER SERVICE CENTER HAS CONTRACTED FOR A HOT MIX ASPHALT (HMA) OVERLAY OF APPROXIMATELY 3 MILES OF 2-LANE ROADWAY IN DELAWARE WATER GAP NATIONAL RECREATION AREA NEAR STROUDSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA. THE PAVING IS NEARLY COMPLETE, BUT WITH OBSERVED DEFECTS IN MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP. THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR IS DISPUTING THE NUMBER AND SEVERITY OF THE DEFECTS.
