WE PROPOSE TO CONSTRAIN THE EVOLUTION OF PRIMITIVE PLANETARY MATERIALS WITHIN THE PROTOPLANETARY DISK AND DETERMINE THE PROCESSES THAT AFFECTED THAT EVOLUTION. TO ACHIEVE OUR OBJECTIVES WE WILL USE A VARIETY OF IN SITU ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES TO DETERMINE THE TEXTURE, MAJOR, MINOR, TRACE ELEMENT, AND OXYGEN ISOTOPIC COMPOSITION OF UNEQUILIBRATED ORDINARY CHONDRITE TYPE-I CHONDRULES AND AGGLOMERATIC CHONDRULES. THESE PRIMITIVE OBJECTS ARE SOME OF THE FIRST TO FORM IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM. THESE OBJECTIVES ARE TAILORED TO THOSE OF NASA'S COSMOCHEMISTRY PROPOSAL: TO SUPPORT INVESTIGATIONS OF EXTRATERRESTRIAL MATERIALS WITH THE PURPOSE OF UNDERSTANDING THE GEOCHEMISTRY OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM BODIES TO PROVIDE POWERFUL CONSTRAINTS ON THE ORIGIN AND EVOLUTION OF PLANETARY MATERIALS, ROCKY BODIES, PLANETS AND THE DYNAMICAL PROCESSES IN THE PROTOPLANETARY DISK THAT LEAD TO PLANET FORMATION. - $5,000 - Tuesday the 20th of November 2012
