IGF::OT::IGF THE OBJECTIVES OF THIS WORK ARE TO DEVELOP NEW COATING TECHNOLOGIES FOR COATING NUCLEAR GRADE GRAPHITE SUBSTRATES WITH ADVANCED COATINGS. THE SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT INCLUDES THE OPTIMIZATION OF COATING DEPOSITION PROCESSES AND METHODOLOGY, AND SPECIALIZED TESTING. THE COATINGS WILL BE DEPOSITED BY CHEMICAL VAPOR DEPOSITION (CVD) OR SIMILAR OUT-OF-SIGHT DEPOSITION METHODS. THE VENDOR SHALL DELIVER UNIFORMLY COATED HIGH PURITY GRAPHITE SUBSTRATES OF DIFFERENT GEOMETRIES DURING THE COURSE OF THIS CONTRACT. PROCESSING CONDITIONS FOR COATING DEPOSITION SHALL BE OPTIMIZED AND DOCUMENTED IN A FINAL WRITTEN FORMAL REPORT THAT SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO NASA GLENN RESEARCH CENTER (GRC) AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT. THE COATED SPECIMENS WILL BE EXAMINED AT GRC AND THE RESULTS WILL BE CONVEYED TO THE VENDOR AS PART OF THE PROCESS DEVELOPMENT AND OPTIMIZATION STUDIES. SPECIALIZED TESTING IN HYDROGEN, SUCH AS THERMAL CYCLING IN A HYDROGEN ENVIRONMENT BETWEEN AMBIENT TEMPERATURE (LESS THAN 100 DEGREES C AND UP TO 2300 DEGREES C, SHALL BE CONDUCTED BY THE VENDOR OR HIS SUBCONTRACTOR UNDER THIS CONTRACT IF REQUIRED. IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT ALL WORK, INCLUDING PROCESSING DATA AND PROCEDURES DEVELOPED UNDER THIS CONTRACT SHALL BE THE PROPERTY OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT. THE PERIOD OF THIS IDIQ CONTRACT WILL BE FOR A TOTAL OF FOUR YEARS, WHERE EACH TASK ORDER WILL BE QUOTED AND FUNDED INDIVIDUALLY. - $375,000 - Thursday the 24th of May 2012
