TETRACORE HAS IDENTIFIED SEVERAL SOLUTIONS TO ADDRESS PROBLEMS WITH CROSS-REACTIVITY AT HIGH CONCENTRATIONS OF TOXINS IN MULTIPLEX ASSAYS. IMPLEMENTING THESE SOLUTIONS WILL EXTEND THE TIMELINE FOR TASK 1 BY SEVERAL MONTHS. CURRENT DEVELOPMENT RISKS AND MITIGATIONS, AS ADDRESSED IN THE MONTHLY TECHNICAL REPORTS, PREVENT THE COMPLETION OF ALL TASKS ON TIME. THESE INCLUDE THE RECEIPT OF ANTIGEN PANELS FOR INDEPENDENT TESTING AND THE UNCERTAINTY OF CURRENT POLYCLONAL ANTIBODIES FOR BURKHOLDERIA; THESE ANTIBODIES MAY CAUSE SPECIFICITY PROBLEMS IN A MULTIPLEXED FORMAT. WITHOUT APPROPRIATE PANELS, TETRACORE HAS HAD TO RELY ON ITS OWN ANTIGEN STOCKS AND PREPARATIONS CAN VARY SIGNIFICANTLY. IT IS ESSENTIAL TO TEST OPTIMIZED ASSAYS WITH THE GOVERNMENT-SPECIFIED PANEL FOR INDEPENDENT ASSAY EVALUATION. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT AN ADDITIONAL 12 MONTHS WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE ALL TASKS. THE TOTAL ESTIMATED FUNDS AND TOTAL OBLIGATED FUNDS OF THIS CONTRACT REMAIN UNCHANGED.
