THERE IS CURRENTLY A NEED FOR A LOW-ALTITUDE LONG ENDURANCE UNMANNED AIRCRAFT THAT CAN PROVIDE THE EXPANSIVE COVERAGE NECESSARY FOR CRYOSPHERIC INVESTIGATIONS. EXTREME COLD PLACES UNIQUE REQUIREMENTS ON AIRCRAFT IF THEY ARE TO OPERATE CONSISTENTLY AND RELIABLY IN THESE ENVIRONMENTS.
